In order for your Product, Shop, Live and Search Brand Ads to be displayed, you will need to ensure that you have topped up sufficient ads credit. Do note that:

1. You cannot use ads credit to pay for Homepage Brand Ads. Instructions for Homepage Brand Ads payment will be provided separately in the Homepage Brand Ads invoices emailed to you.

2. You will only be charged from your ads credit when shoppers click on your Product and Shop Ads.

3. And for Live and Search Brand Ads, you will be charged for every impression.

4. All your Product, Shop, Live and Search Brand Ads will stop running when you have used up your ads credit.

5. Ads credit top ups are non-refundable and non-transferable.

6. Different types of ads credit top ups might have different expiry dates.

Will ads credit that expired be deducted first?

Shopee has 3 types of ads credit: general free credits, 1:1 free credits and paid credits. Shopee system will deduct ads credit in the following sequence:

1. Ads Credit near Expiry Date

2. Ads Credit with Early Start Date

3. Ads Credit Type comparison

1. 1st General Ads Credit
2. 2nd 1:1 Free Ads Credit
3. 3rd Paid Ads Credit

Note: Unfinished credits lock subsequent ones. If a 1:1 Free Credit is paused due to insufficient Paid Balance, all subsequent credits (including General Free credit) are locked until cash is topped up.

How can I check my free credit usage history?

Can find from Shopee Ads > My Account to check Free Ads Credit History. And from Consumption Type could refer to the detailed credit type consumed.

Q&A about Free Credit

1. What is 1:1 free credit?

1:1 Free Credit is one type of ads credit and could be consumed accompanied by the same amount (1:1 ratio) of paid credit in real-time deduction.

2. Can I choose which credit to consume first in my ads account?

No, platform will deduct the credit automatically based on credit priority.

3. I find that there are still free credits left in my account, but why could not use it?

Since unfinished credit packages lock subsequent ones, you need to consume all credit in one package then use the next.

4. There is still enough balance in my account, why can't I use it?

Can check your account credit balance to see if there is enough paid credit. If a 1:1 Free Credit is paused due to insufficient Paid Balance, all subsequent grants (including General Free Credit) are locked until cash is topped up.

5. Can I use the 1:1 free credit in Shopee APP?

No. Now 1:1 free credit is only supported on the PC platform. General credits and paid credits are usable across both PC and APP.

How do I top up my Ads Credit? 

If you are topping up using a computer:

1. Log in to Seller Centre via your browser and navigate to Shopee Ads > My Account > More. Click Top Up to view your Ads Credit balance and purchase Ads Credits.

2. Select your preferred top up amount

3. Or you can customise your ads credit top up amount by clicking "Enter the Top-up Amount"

4. Enter the "Voucher Code" for your ads credit top up, if any

5. Click "Check Out"

Note: The top up amount will be credited to your account within 30 minutes after top up and is non-refundable.

If you're topping up via Shopee app:

1. In your Shopee app, tap on your "Home" tab at the bottom of the screen 

2. Tap on "Shopee Ads" at top of the page 

3. Tap on "Top Up" at the top right of the Shopee Ads homepage 

4. Select your preferred top up amount

5. Tap on "Voucher" to select discount voucher for your ads credit top up, if any 

6. Tap on "Top Up" and check out

How do I set up Auto Top-Up?

Auto Top-Up allows you to top up your Ads Credit from your Seller Wallet automatically, when your Ads Credit fall below a minimum threshold amount.

If you are setting up using your laptop:

1. Click "Auto Top-up (My Balance)"

2. Toggle on "Auto Top-up (My Balance)" to begin set up

3. Specify the the Condition

1. When valid ads credit goes below
2. Top up
3. Daily Limit

5. Click "Confirm" after reading the terms and conditions of Auto Top-Up

If you are setting up using Shopee app:

1. Tap on "Top Up" at the top right of the Shopee Ads homepage

2. Tap on "Auto Top Up"

3. Specify the the Condition

1. When valid ads credit goes below
2. Top up
3. Daily Limit

4. Tap on "Save"

What happens if I have insufficient Seller Wallet balance?

If you have insufficient Seller Wallet balance for Auto Top-Up, Shopee will send a notification to you and retry Auto Top-Up 3 times in the next 24 hours, followed by once a day for one month. After one month of failed top up, the Auto Top-Up function will be turned off. You are advised to perform a manual top-up if you want to replenish your Ads Credit immediately.
