To enhance the overall user experience on Shopee, we have updated the reserved keyword policy in January 2026.

1. Both paid and free keyword reservations are available exclusively to Mall Sellers.

2. Keyword reservations are not guaranteed, as approval is subject to eligibility requirements and any existing reservations made by other sellers.

Free Reserved Keywords

1. Only the Official Store Name, Brand Name(s) & Username are allowed as free reserved keywords.

2. Sellers who own multiple brands are entitled to reserve each of their brand names.

Paid Reserved Keywords

1. Paid reserved keywords are applicable for Search Brand Ads.

2. Sellers may reserve the following keywords for use in Search Brand Ads:

1. Brand + Variant/Category (ex: Brand A shoes)
2. Brand typos
3. Variations of shop name (ex: BrandAshop, Brand A shop - with or without space)
4. Variations of brand name (ex: BrandA, Brand A - with or without space)
5. Shop + Other Brand Name (ex: Shop + Brand A)

(This is allowed only if the shop is an authorised reseller of the brand)

1. Please note: If SBA stops running (due to budget depletion, campaign pause, or other reasons), the paid reserved keywords will automatically be released to open bidding by other sellers on Shop Ads. Once SBA is reactivated, the keywords will be reserved again.

How to Submit Keywords

1. Sellers can submit their free and paid keywords via the provided Google Form: [Shopee Mall] Keyword Reservation
2. Reserved keywords must be submitted by 10:00AM every Friday for internal review.
3. Keyword reservations will be refreshed every Friday at 5:00 PM, excluding weekends and public holidays. Please allow up to 24 hours for approved keywords to be reflected in the system.
4. Reserved paid keywords can be viewed in Seller Center when creating Search Brand Ads.
