GMV Max Auto Bidding is an improved and upgraded version of the existing Product Ads - Auto Bidding (Standard) campaign setup mode, which now unlocks broader traffic access and improved optimization capabilities. With a 1-easy click, system will help to optimize your campaign performance based on the platform-estimated return on investment (ROI) target. Each campaign is limited to one product.



GMV Max Auto Bidding aims at maximizing your GMV potential while maintaining a healthy ROAS for your ads. With an improved algorithm launched in Q2 2025, GMV Max Auto Bidding is now not only able to scale your ads across top performing placements but also guarantee ROAS within the estimated range for your ads . 


If you are looking to set up campaigns with a high prioritization of Target ROAS performance and conversion costs, a GMV Max Custom ROAS campaign will be more suitable.

This allows Sellers to use GMV Max Auto Bidding as a rapid boost strategy for your tactical campaigns on key products.


How to create GMV Max Auto Bidding Ads on PC


1. From the Shopee Seller Center, navigate to the Marketing Center and select Shopee Ads.


2. Click on “Create New Ads” and select “Promote My Product”.


3. Set Product Selection as “Manually Select Products” and proceed to select your key item.

  1. Starting from May 2025, you may select up to 30 items (PC) and max 10 items (APP) to promote on GMV Max. 



4. After clicking on the [+ Add Product] icon, you may proceed to select your preferred Product for this campaign. Under the “Select Products” function, you may also use the GMV Max Product Recommendation tool to help better select high-potential products to set up your campaign with. 5. Under “Bidding”, select “GMV Max” as the bidding method and set the ROAS target as “GMV Max Auto Bidding”.

  1. With the improved algorithm logic launched in May 2025, GMV Max Auto Bidding is now more effective at driving stronger ROAS outcomes while maximizing your ad's GMV potential. This enhancement allows for better optimization strategies, enabling the algorithm to adapt more dynamically to market conditions and user behavior.



6. Budget & Duration settings:

The recommended settings is ‘Unlimited’ Budget and ‘No end date’ as this will enable the algorithm to best optimise towards your target ROAS goals within limitations


Alternatively, if you have a constrained budget, the system will provide budget recommendations to ensure your ad attains optimal traffic exposure and results. Beginning in May 2025, we rolled out smarter budget recommendations to help your ad achieve the best possible performance.



If you select multiple products, you can set a budget amount which will be applied uniformly across all the items selected in the ad creation page. 


7. Once ready, click ‘Publish’ to launch!

Avoid unnecessary edits: Please refrain from making any changes to your campaign within the initial period or 7 days as it goes through the Learning Phase to explore the best way to optimize your performance. Any edits made during this period may result in re-entering the Learning Phase and delay the system’s ability to better optimize your campaign.
