"Smart Voucher" FAQ

1. Who is eligible to use Smart Voucher?

1. All sellers can turn on the Smart Voucher toggle and enjoy the platform-sponsored vouchers on their GMV Max ads.
2. Buyers are only eligible to use Smart Vouchers for purchases on the Shopee App and Website. 

2. What items are eligible for the Smart Voucher? Does it require manual selection?

Once a seller turns on the Smart Voucher toggle, it will be activated shop-wide. All items in the shop promoted via GMV Max ads are eligible for Smart Voucher. The model will determine in real-time whether to issue vouchers and the value of the voucher to be issued each time a seller's GMV Max ads is seen.

3. What is the frequency of Smart Vouchers that will be provided to buyers?

Smart Vouchers will generally be available unless:

1. The number of Smart Vouchers issued by Shopee during a certain period exceeds the average number of vouchers issued by sellers previously;
2. The number of Smart Vouchers issued to a particular buyer exceeds internally prescribed thresholds; and/or
3. Such other reasons as determined by Shopee from time to time at its discretion.

4. Do sellers need to bear the cost for Smart Voucher?

No, Smart Voucher is fully sponsored by Shopee. There is no extra cost for sellers.

5. Will seller's actual revenue per order decrease because of Smart Voucher?

No, turning on the Smart Voucher toggle will not affect the sellers' actual revenue per order. Smart Voucher serves as a platform-sponsored benefit.

6. What will be the face value of Smart Voucher each time?

It will be customized to buyers in real-time to maximize the incremental revenue of the Seller's ads.

7. Is Smart Voucher a shop-level or platform-level voucher? Can it be stacked with other vouchers?

Smart Voucher is a shop-level voucher. Therefore, it can be stacked with platform-level vouchers, but not with shop-level vouchers.

8. What is the impact of activating Smart Voucher?

1. From sellers' perspective, Smart Voucher may increase buyers' purchase intent, thereby boosting sales and GMV without any additional cost to the sellers.
2. From buyers' perspective, Smart Voucher offers more competitive prices for purchases and may enhance purchase intent, making it easier to achieve order conversion.
