What is Display Ads?

Shopee Display Ads allows you to reserve guaranteed impressions on our homepage banner carousel, one of the spots with the highest exposure in-app and on web, to showcase your brand and products.


With daily slots available for booking, you can easily create your Display Ads campaign via Seller Centre. Simply click "+ Create New Ads" and select "Display Ads" to get started.

What is Audience Targeting?

Audience Targeting allows you to select who your Display Ads are shown to. Depending on your advertising objective, you can choose to either maximize awareness, target your desired audience or automatically target high potential shoppers based on system prediction.


Engage high potential shoppers with “Auto Targeting” under the audience setting. Our system will select users predicted to have interest in your shop or similar shops and display your campaign to them, resulting in higher click-through-rate.


You can also personalize your campaign audience by choosing “Custom Targeting”. With just a few simple clicks, you can define your audiences by age group, gender and category interest to reach your desired shoppers.



How do I set up Audience Targeting for my Display Ad?

When you set up Display Ads on Seller Centre, you may select your preferred setting under the Audience section.


After which, the “Expected Results” panel on the right will reflect your campaign’s Estimated Expense (excluding tax). this is calculated based on the Estimated Impressions for the selected duration and the Guaranteed CPM, which will differ depending on your audience selection. A premium price will be charged if you select Auto or Custom Targeting.


How do I view the performance of my Display Ads?

Review the performance of your branding ad campaign in boosting your upper funnel marketing strategies.


  1. Go to the All Ads Page (Seller Centre > Shopee Ads) and select the Display Ads tab. 
  2. Only sellers who have been (i) whitelisted for Display Ads and (ii) have run a campaign in the last 6 months will see this tab. 
  3. You can edit the time length for your ad performance data
  4. Click on the available metrics to view the trend chart
  5. You will be able to see the individual performance by campaign, with an indication of whether you have used “Custom Targeting”, “Auto Targeting” or “Broad Targeting”.




Can I change the audience selection after publishing a Display Ad?

Yes, you can change your audience selection up to 7 days before the campaign starts. The “Results” panel on the right will display the updated Estimated Impressions, Estimated Expenses and Guaranteed CPM accordingly.


Can I select different audiences within one Display Ads campaign?

No, you can only make one audience selection per Display Ads campaign and the selected audience will be applied to the entire campaign period. To target different audiences on different days, you can split the Display Ads booking and create different campaigns for other days


Notes:

Display Ads is available only to selected Mall sellers. Mall sellers who would like to be whitelisted can reach out to your account manager. Non-Mall sellers will be notified when Display Ads becomes available.
